Direct Access Endoscopy

Charter Medical Private Hospital offers direct access endoscopy services to referring physicians to expedite patient care. These services are provided by a team of consultants with expert knowledge and clinical experience in the fields of gastroenterology and general surgery. Referrals are triaged by a consultant and contacted by our dedicated pre-assessment team to discuss preparation, procedure instructions, and to organise scheduling.

Referrals:

Access to the service is by referral only. Referrals can be sent via HealthLink or using our online referral form.

For patients who have received a referral letter from their GP, please contact us at enquiries@cmph.ie attaching a copy of the letter.

Unsuitable Patients:

• Not Fit for Day Case Procedure
• Not Fit for 'At Home' Bowel Preparation
• Aged Under 16
• Significant Co-Morbidities (uncontrolled CFF, Several Bowel Disease)
• Haemodynamically Unstable Patient
