Direct Access Endoscopy

Charter Medical Private Hospital offers direct access endoscopy services to referring physicians to expedite patient care. These services are provided by a team of consultants listed below with expert knowledge and clinical experience in the fields of gastroenterology and general surgery. Referrals are triaged by a consultant and suitable patients are booked into the next available slot.

Referrals:

Access to the service is by referral only.  Referrals can be sent via HealthLink or using our online referral form endoscopy-referral
For patients who have a received a referral letter from their GP, please contact us on info@cmph.ie attaching a copy of the letter

Unsuitable Patients:

• Not Fit for Day Case Procedure
• Not Fit for 'At Home' Bowel Preparation
• Aged Under 16
• Significant Co-Morbidities (uncontrolled CFF, Several Bowel Disease)
• Hemodynamically Unstable Patient
