COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.If you have any one of the following symptoms, please contact your GP for further advice. Please do not visit Charter Medical Private Hospital as this could expose others to the virus.
Most common symptoms:
Fever, dry cough, tiredness
Less common symptoms:
Aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhoea, headache, loss of taste or smell
Serious symptoms:
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure, loss of speech or movement
Note that anyone entering Charter Medical Private Hospital can have their temperature taken with a non-contact thermometer by a clinical member of staff as a screening measure. Anyone displaying a temperature on or above 38 degrees will not be permitted to enter the hospital. Our staff are working extremely hard to deal with the COVID-19 virus and to care for all our patients currently in the hospital.
