Charter Medical Mullingar provides stepdown care for patients whose treatment in a local of regional HSE hospital has reached a point that their medical or surgical treatment has been completed, but they are not entirely ready to be discharged from hospital.
Stepdown care helps patients to continue their recovery in a more comfortable environment while still having access to necessary medical services and rehabilitation.
At Charter Medical Mullingar patients are supported until they are ready for discharge. Specific services such as nursing care, medication support, physiotherapy, occupational health, and other rehabilitation services are provided as required.
Stepdown care is jointly managed by both the referring hospital and Charter Medical Mullingar.
