Mr Yasir Bashir completed his surgical training in Ireland. In 2023, Mr Bashir was appointed as Consultant General and Colorectal surgeon in Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore and Saint James. He completed his training in Ireland after working in Saint James Hospital, Tallaght University Hospital, Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore and Nass General Hospital.
Mr Bashir’s practice is in general and colorectal surgery, involving laparoscopy and endoscopy. And had done and published research in General, Colorectal and Gastro-intestinal Surgery.
He previously worked as assistant professor of surgery for Trinity College Dublin. He is also still involved in teaching and training students and doctors. He is teaching students for University of Limerick and training doctors for Core Surgical Training and Higher Surgical Training for RCSI. He is also lead for RCSI programme for International Medical Graduates training for Surgery
