Mr Mulligan graduated from UCD and trained in Ireland at SHO, Registrar and Senior Registrar level. He was a Consultant and Senior Lecturer at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London and Imperial College London.
He became a Senior Lecturer in RCSI and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown 2005.
His specialist interests are in minimally invasive GI surgeries for gallstones, hernia, haemorrhoids (THD Procedure) and perianal disease e.g. fistula in ano. He offers a direct access endoscopy service and direct access minor surgery service, where appropriate.
He currently practices at Charter Medical Private Hospital, Hermitage Medical Clinic, Bon Secours, Glasnevin and Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. Consultations are available, where required, at Arden Surgery in Tullamore and Hermitage Medical Clinic.
